Latest set of exciting new titles “The Selfie Challenge”, “A Good Family” and “Driving Me Crazy” strengthens DMG’s high quality and replicable offering.

Dori Media Group announces that it will present a diverse range of formats at the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) 2015, including new reality game show “The Selfie Challenge”, romantic comedy “Ciega a Citas” and the international hit “Power Couple”. NATPE is the international “must-attend” multiplatform video marketplace and will be held in Miami on January 20th – 22nd, 2015.

“The Selfie Challenge” turns the latest global cross-culture phenomenon for taking selfies into an outdoors reality game show This highly contemporary show incorporates the best qualities of reality and game show formats and sees two groups of friends, who are in different locations around the world, compete against each other to perfectly mimic ambitious selfies sent to them in real-time. “The Selfie Challenge” is a Studio Glam format produced in association with NBA Production. Dori Media has exclusive global distribution rights for the format.

“Ciega a Citas” is a Spanish romantic comedy, which tells the story of a single woman who bets with her mother that she will be able to find a genuine boyfriend before her sister’s wedding. After becoming an instant hit in its native Argentina where it won the prestigious Martín Fierro and Rose d’Or awards, the Spanish version of the show also enjoyed great success, increasing its time slot’s rating on Mediaset España’s Cuatro channel by 40%. The Company is in very advanced negotiations for further sales of the show across several countries.

The international hit “Power Couple” will also feature at NATPE. After achieving excellent ratings in Israel, it has proved to be popular across the globe, with sales in Brazil, South Africa, Portugal, Finland, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Norway, US, UK and Italy.

Additional shows that will be presented include:

  • “A Good Family”, which tells the story of four young Israelis, living in Tel Aviv, whose lives are compared to the good old Israel their parents knew;
  • “The Money Pump”, a prime time game show that proved so successful when it first aired on the Frecuencia Latina channel in Peru that it was moved to the 9pm prime time slot. Additional episodes of “The Money Pump” will be aired in Peru in 2015;
  • “Driving Me Crazy”, a comedy show which follows three female friends who lead their lives and their businesses on the open road, always on the move;
  • Teen reality show “Boys vs Girls”, where two teams – the boys and the girls – compete against each other throughout the summer to try to prove which is the stronger sex;
  • “Billy the Board”, a revolutionary street game show that allows people to earn money while waiting for the bus or train.

“The Selfie Challenge” is reality game show which draws its inspiration from the global social media craze for taking selfies. This highly contemporary show incorporates the best qualities of reality and game show formats and sees two groups of friends, who are in different locations around the world, compete against each other to perfectly mimic ambitious selfies sent to them in real-time. The challenges get tougher over the course of the five-round competition and high levels of improvisation and creativity are required as the competition progresses. “The Selfie Challenge” is a Studio Glam format produced in association with NBA Production.

“Ciega a Citas (Date Blind)” is the story of a woman who is unconsciously trapped in a love triangle. Lucia believes that she loves the presenter of a radio programme, but she does not realise that the true love of her life is on the other side of the screen. The love which is not good for her, blinds her and the love that could make her happy is not even on her radar. But since she made a bet with her mother that she can find a boyfriend by her sister’s wedding, Lucia makes every effort to meet as many men as possible. At least statistically, one of them will have to win her heart. A remake of the successful Argentinean series “Ciega a Citas”, winner of the prestigious Martín Fierro and Rose d’Or awards.

“Power Couple” is an international and successful prime time reality format that puts love to the test like you’ve never seen before! Couples’ emotions, humor, tensions and love come into play. 8 couples move into a villa for 6 weeks and each week they’ll have to face extreme challenges that will test how well they really know each other. In this game, couples who are confident in themselves and believe in their relationship can turn that knowledge into a lot of money, the winning couple’s relationship determines the size of the prize. Power Couple is a new and different experience in the reality show genre, bringing a lot of humor, emotions and love to the screen and not only intrigues and conspiracies! “Power Couple” improved Channel 10 Israel’s average time slot ratings by 81% and SIC Portugal’s ratings by 48% against heavy competition. The show has been sold to Portugal, Brazil, France, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Germany, and Finland.

“A Good Family” tells the story of four young Israelis, living in Tel Aviv, whose lives are compared to the good old Israel their parents knew. After thirty years together the parents announce they’re going to divorce. Though they don’t really admit it, the three brothers and one sister are having a hard time coping with the surprising news. Not coincidentally, the parents live in Jerusalem, where the kids were born and where they later left to move to Tel-Aviv to start their adult lives. The show takes place on this line, between Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv, between then and now, and the past and the future. Each episode will reveal various Tel-Aviv experiences and will bring out the personal and professional stories of the family members. While dealing with the difficulties of their family life, the young members of the family experience the fun of being twenty-something years old in the big and vibrant city. But each episode ends with them driving together to Jerusalem for Friday family dinner with their parents. While at Jerusalem, we’ll be exposed to the way the young members of the family deal, or don’t deal with their parents and their past.

“The Money Pump” is a thrilling and innovative prime time game show show, featuring two contestants fighting together against a huge money pump in order to walk away with a cash prize.The contestants must answer eight trivia questions correctly before the money pump sucks away 1,000,000 NIS out of a large booth. The contestants play as a couple – but they each have to answer separately. The contestants have a constant dilemma: while they think of the answer, the pump starts pumping out the prize money: the sooner they answer, the sooner the money pump stops.pumping

“Driving Me Crazy” is a wonderful comedy series about three female friends on wheels that lead their lives and their businesses on the open road, always in motion: a cab driver with a heart of gold and no money, a female driving instructor who is attracted to dangerous women and a rich princess who has been cut off, and starts a creative business in a limousine. However, all three feel stuck and will do anything to get out of the position their lives have destined them for. These three friends meet in a traffic accident that changes their lives.

“Boys vs. Girls” is a comic and playful reality show for teenagers about boys and girls… and everything in between. Two teams – the boys and the girls – compete against each other throughout the summer to try to prove which is the stronger sex. Over the course of the game, the boys and girls discover things they didn’t know about the other sex. It’s going to be a funny, flirtatious, challenging and also romantic summer… at the end of which only one team will be named the Rulers of Summer.

“Billy the Board” Where ever there is a board Billy can be there! Train stations, bus stations, Metro… Many places where people sit and kill time while waiting. “Billy the Board” is a street game show that enables people to have fun and earn money while waiting. With simple

animation technology, the station billboard turns into a living, speaking entity. Billy approaches a person waiting in the station and offers him the chance to play the game until his bus/train arrives. The contestant has to answer multiple choice questions and is allowed to make one mistake during the game. If the bus/train arrives while he is still in the game, he gets the money accumulated till that point and goes on his way a few dollars richer.
