Dori Media Group announces that it has sold 14 episodes of Abot Hameiri\u2019s hit reality TV format \u201cPower Couple\u201d <\/em>to the South African television broadcaster M-Net. The show is already in production and will go on air in a prime time slot in August 2015.<\/p>\n

This follows the sale of \u201cPower Couple\u201d<\/em> to the SIC Channel in Portugal, Rede Record in Brazil, UK, US, Germany, Italy and Shine Nordics, the largest production group in the Nordic region. The South African version of the show \u2013 the first non-scripted Israeli format to be aired in South Africa \u2013 is being produced by Afrokaans, a production company that has been involved in several television series for M-Net\u2019s array of channels on the African continent. To encourage the public to enroll in the reality show, the producers are enlisting some of the most well-known celebrity couples in the country to promote the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cPower Couple\u201d<\/em>, created by Abot Hameiri, one of the leading production houses in the Israeli television market, is a reality format where eight couples face extreme challenges that test how well they really know each other. It has already proved to be a huge hit, both in its home market of Israel and internationally. In Israel, the format improved Channel 10\u2019s average time slot ratings by 81% during its airing and a second season has already been ordered by the channel.<\/p>\n
