Deal follows sales to Israel, Indonesia and Vietnam

Dori Media Group (“DMG”, “the Company”) announces that it has sold a season of its new romantic comedy “Esperanza Mia (My Lovely Hope)” to Spain’s Planeta Junior from Planeta and De Agostini Group. The deal was signed between Nadav Palti, CEO of Dori Media Group and Ignacio Segura de Lassaletta, Managing Director of Planeta Junior at Mipcom 2015.

“Esperanza Mia” is a co-production of Dori Media International and Pol-Ka Producciones, and has recently been sold to a range of countries, including Israel, FMN Indonesia and Vietnam. The show will go on air next month in Israel and Indonesia.

“Esperanza Mia” has already achieved excellent ratings in Argentina where it went on air earlier this year on Canal 13. The format has consistently been the highest performing show in its prime time 9pm time slot since its debut, and during its first week on air, “Esperanza Mia” achieved an average rating of 16.4 with a 20% audience share. Canal 13 has already bought 180 episodes of the show. In addition to this, the series has launched live shows, and 60 have already sold out across Argentina. “Esperanza Mia” merchandise has also taken off with the sale of T-shirts, CDs and other consumer goods highlighting the show’s popularity.

“Esperanza Mia” is a romantic comedy about the forbidden love between Julia (Hope) and Tomas. Julia’s mother dies from a fatal illness contracted due to pollution in the factory where she worked. On her deathbed, she asks Julia to hunt down the owner of the factory, but Julia is persecuted while trying to do just that. She escapes to Buenos Aires and takes shelter in a convent, pretending to be a nun named Hope. There she meets a priest named Tomas and love between them grows. Unfortunately, Julia does not know that Tomas is none other than the brother of the man responsible for her mother’s death, the man she swore to bring to justice.
