Dori Media Group will present new game shows “300 Second Ride” and “The Selfie Challenge”, alongside established hits “Ciega a Citas” and “Power Couple”

Dori Media Group (“DMG”, “the Company”) announces that it will present a range of new formats spanning different genres at the 2015 MIPTV Media Market, including innovative game shows “300 Second Ride” and “The Selfie Challenge”, the drama series “A Good Family” and comedy “Driving Me Crazy”. Other shows to feature at MIPTV are the international hits “Ciega a Citas” and “Power Couple”. MIPTV is held annually in Cannes and showcases the freshest international productions. This year’s event will take place on 13-16 April, 2015.

Nadav Palti, CEO & President of Dori Media Group commented: “As one of the must-attend events in the TV and digital content space, we are delighted to be presenting at MIPTV once again. 2014 was a positive year for us after securing a number of international sales of our key formats, including “Power Couple” and «Ciega a Citas». With the range of new, innovative formats we are bringing to the market, we are confident that, during 2015, we can build on the success we have already achieved.”

“300 Second Ride”, a Studio Glam format, is a fast-moving studio-based prime time quiz show, where a team of two contestants embarks on a 5 minute ride on the ‘Time Track’, a unique moving platform that runs from one side of the studio to the other. The team can chose their own questions but they must answer eight questions correctly before their 300 seconds are up. If they succeed, they get the chance to answer one final multiple choice question to win a cash prize. The show has already been picked up by ALP, the entertainment production subsidiary of Zodiak Media in France, as well as by Endemol Spain.

“The Selfie Challenge” is a highly innovative format that turns the latest global cross-culture phenomenon for taking selfies into an outdoors reality game show. The program sees two groups of friends, who are in different locations around the world, compete against each other to perfectly mimic ambitious selfies sent to them in real-time. “The Selfie Challenge” is a Studio Glam format produced in association with NBA Production and Dori Media has exclusive global distribution rights for the show.

Reality show “Power Couple” will also feature at MIPTV. After achieving excellent ratings in Israel and Portugal, it has been sold to China, Brazil, many European countries and South Africa, where it will go on air next August.

A synopsis of each show Dori Media Group will present at MIPTV 2015 can be found at the bottom of this announcement.

Dori Media Group Presents at MIPTV 2015:

“300 Second Ride” is a fast-moving studio-based prime time quiz show, where a team of two contestants embarks on a 5 minute ride on the ‘Time Track’, a unique moving platform that runs from one side of the studio to the other. The team can chose their own questions but they must answer eight questions correctly before their 300 seconds are up. If they succeed, they get the chance to answer one final multiple choice question. If they answer this correctly, they win a million shekels. An incorrect answer, however, sends them home empty-handed.

When contestants are faced with a question, they have a maximum of 60 seconds to answer it. After 20 seconds, four multiple choice options are given to them. If they wait another 20 seconds, two of the answers are removed, making it even easier to answer. The longer they wait, the more time they will have used up, meaning they earn less money, but a wrong answer will deduct another 60 seconds from their time!

Contestants, whose 300 seconds clock reaches 0, lose the game and go home empty-handed. When contestants have less than 100 seconds left on the clock, they may choose to quit the game and go home with the money they collected throughout the game or keep playing for the 1 million shekel prize.

“The Selfie Challenge” is reality game show which draws its inspiration from the global social media craze for taking selfies. This highly contemporary show incorporates the best qualities of reality and game show formats and sees two groups of friends, who are in different locations around the world, compete against each other to perfectly mimic ambitious selfies sent to them in real-time. The challenges get tougher over the course of the five-round competition and high levels of improvisation and creativity are required as the competition progresses. “The Selfie Challenge” is a Studio Glam format produced in association with NBA Production.

“Power Couple” is an exciting prime time reality hit that puts love to the test like you’ve never seen before! Eight couples face extreme challenges that will test how well they really know each other. “Power Couple” is a new and different experience in the reality show genre bringing a lot of humor, emotions and love to the screen and not only intrigues and conspiracies! With an amazing ratings and fresh concept we believe it is one of the most intriguing formats with a huge international potential. The show is produced by Abot Hameiri for Channel 10.

“Ciega a Citas (Date Blind)” is the story of a woman who is unconsciously trapped in a love triangle. Lucia believes that she loves the presenter of a radio program, but she does not realise that the true love of her life is on the other side of the screen. The love which is not good for her, blinds her and the love that could make her happy is not even on her radar. But since she made a bet with her mother that she can find a boyfriend by her sister’s wedding, Lucia makes every effort to meet as many men as possible. At least statistically, one of them will have to win her heart. “Ciega a Citas” has been sold to over 40 territories worldwide and is a winner of the prestigious Martín Fierro and Rose d’Or awards.

“A Good Family” tells the story of four young Israelis, living in Tel Aviv, whose lives are compared to the good old Israel their parents knew. After thirty years together the parents announce they’re going to divorce. Though they don’t really admit it, the three brothers and one sister are having a hard time coping with the surprising news. Not coincidentally, the parents live in Jerusalem, where the kids were born and where they later left to move to Tel-Aviv to start their adult lives. The show takes place on this line, between Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv, between then and now, and the past and the future. Each episode will reveal various Tel-Aviv experiences and will bring out the personal and professional stories of the family members. While dealing with the difficulties of their family life, the young members of the family experience the fun of being twenty-something years old in the big and vibrant city. But each episode ends with them driving together to Jerusalem for Friday family dinner with their parents. While at Jerusalem, we’ll be exposed to the way the young members of the family deal, or don’t deal with their parents and their past.

“Driving Me Crazy” is a wonderful comedy series about three female friends on wheels that lead their lives and their businesses on the open road, always in motion: a cab driver with a heart of gold and no money, a female driving instructor who is attracted to dangerous women and a rich princess who has been cut off, and starts a creative business in a limousine. However, all three feel stuck and will do anything to get out of the position their lives have destined them for. These three friends meet in a traffic accident that changes their lives.
