The highly-anticipated “Power Couple”, “Billy the Board” and “The Surfers” among the hits to be presented
Dori Media Group (“DMG”, “the Company”), the international media company active in the field of television, with a focus on production, distribution, broadcasting and merchandising of daily dramas, Telenovela and entertainment shows, announces that the Company will attend LA Screenings 2014 with a broad catalogue, including the fun, new game show “Billy the Board,” the innovative reality format “Power Couple” and the new teen series, “The Surfers.” LA Screenings is an annual event that takes places in Los Angeles in May where programme buyers from around the world gather to take a look at the latest primetime pilots.
Brand new street game show “Billy the Board” is a revolutionary format that allows people to earn money while waiting for the bus or train. With simple animation technology, the billboard transforms into Billy, a living, speaking host, who invites people to play the game while waiting. If the contestant’s bus arrives while they’re still in the game, they receive a cash prize. Another new format to be showcased at LA Screenings is “The Surfers”, a new teen daily drama about a group of adolescent surfers that set up a surfing club in a deserted and cursed beach. The series is produced by Teddy Productions and Dori Media Darset for Children Channel.
Other formats to be presented at LA Screenings include game shows “Mission is Possible”, and “AHA! Experience”, dating cooking show “Taste Of Love”, and award-winning drama “Shtisel.” The new reality format “Power Couple” will also feature as part of Dori Media Group’s offering. This show has recently been sold to Fremantle Portugal, who will produce it for SIC Channel in Portugal.
LA Screenings follows Dori Media’s success at MIPTV, where a number of international sales were made, including prime-time game show “Money Pump” to Frecuencia Latina in Peru and reality show ”Home Buy Now” to AT Media in Poland. In addition, “Smart Face – Lo Sabe, No Lo Sabe” continued its astonishing international success with the sale of an additional season to Bandeirantes (Brazil), an extra 90 episodes to RTL Croatia and 40 more episodes to Vox Germany.

The couple’s emotions, humor, tensions and love come into play. 8 couples move into a one villa for 6 weeks and each week they’ll have to face extreme challenges that will test how well they really know each other. In this game, couples who are confident in themselves and believe in their relationship can turn that into a lot of money, the winning couple’s relationship determines the size of the prize. Power Couple is a new and different experience in the reality show genre bringing a lot of humor, emotions and love to the screen and not only intrigues and conspiracies! «Power Couple» format improved Channel 10 Israel’s average time slot ratings by 81% during its airing.
Billy The Board – Street Game Show-
Wherever there is a board, Billy can be there! “Billy the Board” is a street game show created by ZP Content To Go, that enables people to have fun and earn money while waiting. With simple animation technology, the station billboard turns into a living, speaking entity. The game starts when the board approaches a person waiting in the station. When this person understands that the board is the one addressing him, the character of Billy is revealed as the host. Billy offers the person to play the game until his bus/train arrives. If the contestant is disqualified before his bus/train arrives, he gets a ‘penalty” – his picture is posted on the board, with him advertising something embarrassing and funny. If the contestant’s bus/train arrives while he is still in the game, he gets the money accumulated till that point and goes on his way a few dollars richer. “Billy the Board” is a fun game show that can make waiting exciting and profitable!
The Surfers – Teen Daily Drama
A new kids and teen series about a group of adolescent surfers that set up a surfing club in a deserted and cursed beach. One day, they are notified that they are evacuated form the beach, their second home, and they try to do everything in their power to change this life changing decision. While fighting for their life, the group is drawn into an adventure beyond their imagination. Will they be able to alter their destiny? Hot bikinis, sun kissed hair and joyful youth are not all these youngsters have to face. They are also forced to cope with the difficult pains of youth: Rivalry and jealousy, friendship and betrayal & identity and belonging.
Selfies – Doco Reality
A docu-reality format that reveals the world of teenagers by following five teenagers in their last dramatic year in high school, as they get ready for the senior prom. This individually and socially dramatic and intensive time period forces each of our heroes to deal with their dreams, loves, jealousies, fears and disappointments. It exposes the relationships with their parents, their relationships with each other and the relationships they build on social networks. This format is unique because not only do the heroes play a major role, but so do the cellphones that they use to communicate with the social networks. The cellphones mirror the characters and are their connection to society.
So Where Were We? Comedy (8X30min)
A new and unique single-camera comedy in which every episode our cast of main characters – Israel, a neurotic, cheap, and very direct man in love with himself, Vered, his sarcastic and wise wife and Eli his recently divorced, broke, friend – find themselves in a different location or venue where things don’t go as planned. They try to cut corners, avoid, or scheme their way out of situations, which only embroils them, and other people, in more trouble. So Where Were We? was the highest-rated comedy on Channel 10 since 2011, averaging 13.7% and 18.3 in +7. The series doubled the average rating of the time slot.
Mission is Possible – Game Show
‘Mission is Possible’ is a fun and fresh original Candid camera game show. It’s quite simple: a person hops on a train and is offered to participate in a game. If he agrees the game is on. On the train, there are around 50 people, one of which is an UNDERCOVER, the one who should be exposed by the player. The player has one chance to figure out who he is before the next station and if successful, the money is his! The player receives one hint to help him start his search. Now it is all about the player’s creativity, verbal skills and improvisational abilities. He can also buy clues for money or by completing various tasks. This game can also be played in basketball game, amusement park, gyms, restaurants, supermarkets, etc.
Little Mom – Scripted Comedy (13X30min)
A prime time 13 episodes comedy, Little Mom reveals the harsh truth of life after having kids. It’s like… someone has turned on the lights at the end of prom night – No more thongs and little black dresses; those days are long gone, replaced by sweat pants and cardboard flavored «snacks».
