‘The Selfie Challenge’ turns the latest global cross-culture phenomenon for taking selfies into an outdoors reality game show that is both easy and inexpensive to produce
Dori Media Group announces that it has obtained exclusive global distribution rights for Studio Glam’s reality game show ‘The Selfie Challenge’, which draws its inspiration from the global social media craze for taking selfies. This highly contemporary show incorporates the best qualities of reality and game show formats and sees two groups of friends, who are in different locations around the world, compete against each other to perfectly mimic ambitious selfies sent to them in real-time. ‘The Selfie Challenge’ is a Studio Glam format produced in association with NBA Production.
The competition is simple and over a five-round competition, the groups must swiftly replicate selfies they receive and as the competition progresses, challenges become tougher. Initially, selfies will be taken of team members themselves, but as the competition progresses, high levels of improvisation and creativity will be required when daring street selfies involving complete strangers will be required. Cameras will be at hand to capture humorous glimpses of the team’s ability to deal with refusals, environmental disturbances and the pressure of competing against the clock.
