New shows “Por Amarte Asi”, “Full Moon” and “Complicated” added to award winning current library

Dori Media Group announces that it will present a range of new drama formats at NATPE 2017, which will be held on January 17-19, in Miami Beach, Florida.

Nadav Palti, CEO & President of Dori Media Group commented: “Our new drama formats “Por Amarte Asi”, “Full Moon” and “Complicated” build on our existing popular and award-winning portfolio. These dramas, with engaging characters, keep audiences on the edge of their seats episode after episode. We look forward to premiering these exciting new programmes at NATPE, 2016 was extremely successful for us and we are raring to go for 2017.”

New drama “Por Amarte Asi” (Loving You) follows the twists and turns in the life of a father and daughter who get a chance to fall in love with partners despite the difficult circumstances that brought them together. Daily drama “Full Moon”, set in the party islands of Thailand, lands a group of teenagers in a weapons deal, which complicates their relationships with each other and puts all of them in danger. The trials and tribulations of Ran’s quest to find love again is the plot for “Complicated”, but is there room for another woman in his life following two failed marriages, three daughters and a permanently disappointed mother?

Alongside the new formats Dori will also present the Séries Mania 2016 Grand Prix winning crime drama “El Marginal”, a co-production from Underground Producciones and TV Publica, created by Sebastian Ortega. El Marginal premiered on TV Publica in Argentina in June last year, where it has gone on to more than triple its timeslot ratings on the channel. It also won 13 Tatos, the prestigious Argentine television awards. The format has been sold to France’s CANAL+, Latin America, UK, Spain, Portugal, US and Poland.

Crime drama “Dumb” follows a frustrated and stoned 30 year old actress “you can’t help but love” (“Ynet”) who shuns the limelight in order to work as an undercover cop by impersonating a high school student. Her aim is to help her ex-boyfriend, who has been arrested and charged with drug dealing. “Dumb” has already received glowing reviews from top publications. “Haaretz” noted its “excellent acting” calling it “original television”, whilst “Israel Today” thought it was “absolutely fabulous”.

The Shiny Floor Game show “The Best of All”, produced by Abot Hameiri, airs on the leading Israeli channel, Channel 2 (Reshet). The show tests the theory that a crowd of people will answer a question correctly more often than an individual, and even an expert. This show pits hundreds of people against individuals answering visual questions for money. Following increased ratings for the show in the target audience (12-19 years old); Reshet has commissioned a second series to air this year.
