Dori Media Group (“DMG”, “the Company”) announces that it has sold romantic comedy “Las Estrellas” (5 Stars) to the Italian broadcaster Fox Networks Group. This is the third global sale of the famous Argentinian romantic comedy which has hit an impressive record of 80% ratings increase on average for 9:30PM time slot, following launch in Israel and Indonesia.
“Las Estrellas” (5 stars) is a 120-episode series produced by Dori Media in collaboration with Pol-Ka Producciones. The series is Dori Media’s key asset in terms of fiction portfolio, which has already proved to be one of the most successful and popular shows in the domestic and international markets.
Las Estrellas is a romantic comedy that has the look, pace and content of a contemporary comedy, but catchy and addictive like a classic daily drama. Las Estrellas is about five Estrella sisters who, after the death of their father, face a challenge of living by their own. In order to claim their inheritance, the five women will have to jointly manage their father’s boutique hotel. But the whim of the deceased has only one goal: to bring them together. They will try to learn to tolerate one another while grieving their father, each in their own way. Living together brings to light the relationship each daughter had with the father, as well as the conflicts they face in their current relationships with men and their search for love.
