Major Scandinavian production group to develop “Power Couple”

Portuguese debut increases SIC Channel audience share despite airing of well-established hit shows on other networks

Dori Media Group (“DMG”, “the Company”), the international media company active in the field of television, with a focus on production, distribution, broadcasting and merchandising of daily dramas, Telenovela and entertainment shows, announces that the Portuguese premiere of “Power Couple”, originally created by Abot Hameiri and produced by Fremantle Media Portugal, has been hugely successful. Portugal’s SIC Channel, which aired “Power Couple” for the first time on May 25, 2014, has seen has seen the following improvements in its ratings:

  • A 2.2 point increase in the SIC Channel’s average audience ratings on “Power Couple’s” debut, despite the broadcast of the European elections;
  • A 4.6 point increase in share of audience, compared to a 5.3 point decrease on national broadcaster RTP 1, and a 5.6 point decrease on main competitor channel TVI;
  • A 20.8% share of the attractive 15-24 demographic, rising to 21.9% during “Power Couple’s” second week of airing, making SIC the second most popular channel in this age group.
