‘Lalola’ celebrates 10th anniversary since the release;

The new remake to air on prime time on TV Azteca in 2018 after a huge success globally

 

Dori Media Group (“DMG”, “the Company”) announces that it has signed an agreement with TV Azteca, for its daily drama ‘Lalola’. The series of 150 episodes was produced in 2007 by Dori Media Contenidos, a subsidiary of Dori Media Group, and is based on an idea of Sebastian Ortega for Underground Contenidos. Dori Media will have exclusive distribution tape rights for the new remake.

Widely accepted as one of the best daily drama, the series was sold to more than 120 countries worldwide. The series was a huge success in Argentina becoming one of the most viewed series on America Channel, and also, achieved a most prominent presence in the international market.

Lalola’s success was reinforced by a number of awards, including winner of a Golden Martin Fierro 2007 (plus 8 additional awards), and international nominations, including the International Emmy Awards in 2008.

The series focuses on the story of Lalo, the editor in chief of a successful men’s magazine, who leads his team with the same bravado with which he leads his life. He is an incurable womanizer, who sees women as mere objects: available for his pleasure, disposable like old socks. Lalo is careless of the trail of victims he leaves behind, but must endure the abuse he used to dole out after he is turned into a woman.
